Mumbai Global Shapers

About

A youth community for Mumbai, with global reach.

The Mumbai Hub of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community brings together young leaders working on the city's most pressing challenges — from climate to public health, education to inclusive growth.

The Global Shapers Community was set up by the World Economic Forum to encourage the formulation of local solutions for community problems through global support. Today, the network spans 11,000+ shapers, 500+ hubs, and 155+ countries.

The Mumbai Hub has been active since the community’s inception. We organise quarterly project sprints, host city dialogues on emerging issues, and back shapers who want to ship initiatives that make a measurable dent.

Every shaper is between 20 and 30 years old, joins through a selective application process, and contributes their time voluntarily.

How we work

Three operating principles.

Ship over talk

We measure ourselves by what we put in the world, not by what we discuss.

Open by default

Our projects, learnings, and resources are open to anyone who wants to plug in.

Sponsor each other

Every shaper actively backs at least one peer's initiative each year.
